1. I love this treadmill. I run about 40 miles a week; I ran my old treadmill into the ground. I never realized how far treadmills have come in the last five years. The touch screen is super easy to use. The speed and incline increase/decrease with just a touch of your finger. So far I have just used the manual mode, however my teenage sons are asking to set up to the iFit live mode. I will set up an account this weekend. I am a 47 year old woman and really appreciate the wide/long tread to run on. And finally, it is so quiet, I can run and watch tv without the volume on high! If you are in the market for a treadmill, definitely check this one out, you won't be disappointed!

2. My initial impressions on this treadmill are all 5 stars. Great motor, large deck surface, adjustable cushioning, intuitive console with tons of built in workouts, ifit live all have lived up to my expectations. The large motor carries my 220 lbs with ease - no hesitation or slipping at walking or running speeds. Mapping my own courses with google maps and downloading to the machine has been a great added bonus, and has helped with the monotony of working out indoors. Assembly was easy - machine is heavy, so get help. Glad i chose this machine - perfect for my needs!

3. Wow, what a great machine! I was contemplating many different treadmills over the past few months, but decided on this Trailrunner, and the choice could not have been better! I have four adults of different ages that will be using the machines many aspects, walking, running, etc. Setup after it was delivered was easy, only need help on original placement of the treadmill because of the weight. I cannot wait to use the Ifit Live function but having too much fun in just the demo mode. Thank you Proform!

I have had the Trailrunner 4.0 in my home for 2 months now. I was given the chance to test this treadmill and give feedback to ProForm about the machine. I've logged thousands of miles on various treadmill brands so I have experience to compare this to other quality machines.

Console: The main benefit of the console is having ifit live directly connected to the treadmill. This feature completely changes how I work out. I have simulated runs on the beach, copied trails through the mountains around my home and jogged on streets in Europe and even Africa. Google street view is linked up with the workouts and it makes it like you're really there. So when I run a course in Italy I actually see the street I'm running on. I look forward to running on this machine because I have a different experience every day. Creating new courses is fun. It takes maybe 60 seconds to design a course anywhere around the globe. It seems to take 2 or 3 minutes after I create a course for it to be uploaded with the correct terrain to my treadmill. Definitely a cool feature!

I am also able to check my email while I worked out or go to just about any website. If I'm going to be online I prefer to be on Facebook which works well on the console. Of course if I'm running fast it's hard to type long messages but I can read what my friends are up to. I was hoping to be able to watch shows on Netflix but Android doesn't support Netflix yet. Apparently Android will support it soon although I don't know if the Android version on the ProForm will run it. The console also has great speakers that are easy to hear. I've tried connecting my iPod which works great. I also like connecting to Yahoo music on the console.

One more comment on the console. The touch screen is pressure sensitive so it responds a little differently than my phone which doesn't need any pressure. The touch screen requires just a little pressure to work. The touch screen works fine it's just different technology than my smartphone.

Assembly: Assembly took my husband about one hour and I didn't hear him swear so I assume it wasn't too bad. A few times he needed me to help hold a part in place while he tightened screws. Make sure to get a little help moving the box where you want it. It's extremely heavy.

Cushioning and belt: The cushioning on the Trailrunner is top notch. I leave it in the softest position and it is easy to feel the difference. The harder settings are still much softer than running on the road and have a nice sturdy feel. The softer settings give plenty of cushion without feeling squishy or unstable. The belt is plenty large for my husband's 6'4" frame. He typically run 6.5 MPH on long runs and 8 MPH on runs 5 miles or less and I he said he has lots of room to feel comfortable.

Motor/Power: The motor has more than enough power for just about anyone. It is very smooth consistent power as well. The belt has never skipped on me or my husband who weighs 200 lbs. So far it has performed perfectly. It's also very quiet. The motor is almost silent up to about 4 MPH. Even at 8 MPH the motor is very quiet.

This treadmill has a lot more features but I think I've covered most of the things that really make it stand out. I've yet to try the competition feature that let's you compete with other people in simulated races. I'm sure it's amazing I just haven't tested it yet. The quality of the Trailrunner 4.0 is very high and the console features make it the most enjoyable treadmill I've ever used. Happy running!
